The Bohol Coconuts Baseball & Softball Club has unveiled the design for its new headquarters, The Coconuts Center, a landmark Php 2.7 million project slated to commence construction in February 2026. Funded entirely by private investors, this facility will serve as the central hub for the club’s comprehensive operations and community outreach initiatives.
“The Coconuts Center is the physical manifestation of our club’s heart and mission,” stated General Manager Lerma Moore. “It will allow us to provide structured, essential services that address both the immediate needs and long-term development of our members and the wider community.”
The facility is designed to be a multifunctional space. A dedicated administrative office will coordinate the club’s expansive programs. Critically, the center will house a daily soup kitchen and a member-exclusive mini food store, initiatives spearheaded by Lerma to directly combat food insecurity among participating families. These services ensure that nutritional support underpins the club’s athletic and academic training.
A key component of The Coconuts Center is a five-room Bed & Breakfast. This accommodation is purpose-built for the club’s Volunteer Abroad Program, which invites international coaches and collegiate athletes for 14-day sessions. For a $499 all-inclusive fee, volunteers receive lodging, meals, and a curated experience where they conduct skills clinics, mentor youth players, and immerse themselves in Bohol’s culture, directly fueling the club’s training ecosystem.
The club officially launches operations on February 1, 2026, with the ambition of becoming the Philippines’ largest baseball and softball organization within its first year. The Coconuts Center represents a significant investment in Bohol’s youth, creating a sustainable model where sport, nutrition, community, and international collaboration converge to transform futures.
