Anonymous Donor funds 100 Baseball Memberships

The Bohol Coconuts Baseball and Softball Club received a $700 donation recently that will fund 100 baseball memberships for the upcoming 2026 season. The first 100 boys (ages 4-8) to register will not have to pay any membership dues until 2027.

“This is fantastic news for our youth baseball program,” said Coconuts GM Lerma Moore. “We’re building something special in Bohol when it comes to youth baseball, and people are starting to notice.”

The Coconuts will launch operations on February 1, 2026, with a Community BBQ, including a youth talent show and a wiffle ball home run contest.

“I cannot wait to get started,” exclaimed Coach Merv Moore. “The Filipino athlete can compete with the Japanese, Koreans, and Taiwanese in baseball, and I want to play them in the future.

“The Coconuts are more than just a sports club. We are a family, and our mission is to produce elite baseball, softball, and academic standouts.”

For more information, please contact Lerma at 915-846-0937.
