Built by vision, discipline, and deep local roots.
The Bohol Coconuts Baseball & Softball Club is more than a team. It is a long-term mission to build elite athletes, open new pathways for young people, and create a baseball and softball movement with real staying power on Bohol Island.
A serious mission with the right people behind it.
The Bohol Coconuts leadership team brings together American coaching experience, entrepreneurial energy, and trusted community relationships in Bohol. That combination matters. Big dreams only become real when vision is matched with logistics, credibility, and daily execution.
This organization is being built with intention: stronger training standards, stronger community ties, and a stronger future for baseball and softball on the island. The goal is not just to create players. The goal is to create belief, structure, opportunity, and momentum.
From player development and academy culture to local partnerships and membership growth, the Coconuts are being shaped by people who know how to build, lead, and keep moving forward.

Lerma is the operational heartbeat of the Bohol Coconuts. She manages the day-to-day flow of the club, keeps key relationships moving, and helps turn vision into something practical and organized.
With business experience in both Manila and Bohol, local government experience through the Cambanac Barangay Council, and a strong understanding of family, education, and athletics, she brings the kind of grounded leadership that keeps ambitious projects moving forward.
Coach Merv Moore

Coach Merv brings international baseball experience, player-development structure, and a demanding competitive standard to the Coconuts project. His job is to help shape athletes, coaches, and culture from the ground up.
His background spans coaching, leadership, writing, operations, and sports media. That mix gives the club both a baseball mind and a storyteller’s instinct for building something people want to follow, support, and believe in.
Diosdado Banua
Every growing organization needs trusted local leadership, and Doodz gives the Coconuts exactly that. His longstanding public service background and deep community connections make him an essential bridge between mission and action.
As the club grows its volunteer base, relationships, and community visibility, he helps make sure the organization stays connected to the people it is meant to serve.
About Bohol Coconuts
The Bohol Coconuts Baseball & Softball Club is an elite youth sports academy built around a bold idea: develop high-level Filipino baseball and softball talent in an environment that pushes standards higher.
This is a mission powered by discipline, vision, and a willingness to build something uncommon. The dream is bigger than one season, one team, or one headline. It is about creating a structure that young athletes can grow inside and supporters can rally behind.
“We are not trying to build something ordinary. We are building a place where young athletes can dream bigger, train harder, and step into a future that feels larger than the island around them.”
