The Bohol Coconuts Volunteer Abroad Program is a unique cultural and sporting exchange designed to build champions on the field and forge global connections off it. Whether you’re a seasoned coach, a passionate player, or a dedicated supporter, your skills and spirit can help shape the future of young athletes in a tropical paradise.
We offer distinct, immersive programs for three key groups of volunteers. Each is crafted to provide maximum impact for our community and an unforgettable, life-enriching experience for you.
1. For Softball Players: The Pioneer Program
(American & European Female Athletes)
Become a foundational coach in our pioneering girls’ softball program. Your expertise addresses a critical need, providing high-level instruction to talented youth players in a region where advanced female coaching is scarce.
Program Focus:
– Teaching pitching, hitting, fielding, and baserunning fundamentals.
– Serving as a mentor and role model for girls aged 4-18.
– Focusing on developing elite pitching as a program cornerstone.
– Cultural exchange and community immersion.
Program Snapshot:
Session – Summer 2026 (June-August)
Session – Winter 2026-27 (December-February)
Duration – 14 Days
Program Fee – $499
What’s Included:
– Shared rooms
– All meals
– Airport transfers and local ground transportation,
– Official club uniform (t-shirts, shorts, and caps)
– Scheduled tours (e.g., Chocolate Hills, Tarsier Sanctuary)
– Full participation in club and community events
– Hosting by club owners Lerma & Merv Moore.
We highly encourage friends or teammates to apply together for a shared adventure.
2. For Baseball Coaches: The Legacy Builder Program
(Pitching & Skill Development Specialists)
Commit to a deeper immersion and help us build a sustainable baseball pipeline. This program is for coaches dedicated to developing collegiate and professional prospects while mentoring the entire baseball ecosystem.
Program Focus:
– Intensive pitching and player development (250+ annual training days).
– Directing practices, camps, tournaments, and league games.
– Training local coach trainees, umpires, and scorekeepers.
– Serving as a vital role model to youth facing significant socio-economic challenges.

Duration – 1 to 3 Months
Monthly Fee – $499 per month
What’s Included:
– Shared accommodations.
– All meals.
– Comprehensive logistics support (airport transfers, local transport).
– Full access to club facilities and events.

3. For Supporters: The Friends of Bohol Coconuts Program
(International Supporters & Non-Coaching Volunteers)
Contribute your unique talents beyond the diamond! This program is for members of our international fan club who wish to volunteer in support roles critical to our club’s operations and community outreach.
Potential Volunteer Roles:
– Soup Kitchen Volunteer (Greet and chat with customers)
– Teach Adult Night Class (English, Arts & Crafts, Cooking, etc.)
– Teach Adult Seminars (Money Mangaement, Business, Parenting, etc.)
– Office Volunteer (Marketing, Event Planning, etc.)
– Recreation Sports Coach (Badminton, Kickball, Slow-pitch Softball)

Duration – 2 Weeks to 1 Month
Program Fee – Starting at $399 (2 weeks)

– Shared accommodation & meals.
– Airport pick-up and local ground transportation.
