The Philippines was once the undisputed King of the Asian Continent in baseball. Today, it stands as the sport’s greatest untapped market—a nation brimming with raw, generational athleticism waiting for the right infrastructure.

Coach Merv is building that infrastructure.

Through the Founders Club, an exclusive collective of forward-thinking investors, Coach Merv is executing a master plan to transform Bohol Island into the premier developmental hub for international baseball. The vision is not just to build a single team, but to engineer an entire self-sustaining baseball ecosystem designed to churn out elite teenage prospects for Major League Baseball (MLB), Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB), the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO), and the Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL).

Here is the blueprint for the future of baseball on Bohol Island.

The Model Franchise: The Bohol Coconuts

Coach Merv spent 17 months in the Kingdom of Brunei directing the Bhutan Baseball and Softball Association (BBSA) while the BBSA President worked in Australia.

Every great ecosystem starts with a proven blueprint. For Bohol, that foundation is the Bohol Coconuts and the state-of-the-art Coconuts Performance Center.

The Coconuts serve as the model franchise for this entire initiative. By combining top-tier coaching, advanced analytics, and a rigorous developmental culture, the Coconuts Performance Center will prove that elite, world-class talent can be cultivated on the island. However, to truly develop high-end minor league prospects, players need more than just great training—they need elite, daily competition. Iron sharpens iron.

The Master Plan: A High-Stakes Island League

To provide the intense competition required to mold future professionals, Coach Merv’s master plan expands far beyond a single facility. The Founders Club is developing the infrastructure for an exclusive localized league on Bohol Island, consisting of 7 to 8 distinct youth baseball training centers.

The Expansion Strategy: Once the Coconuts Performance Center is established, the Founders Club will build additional turnkey baseball academies across the island.

The Investment Opportunity: These fully equipped academies will be sold to American and Asian investors, who will operate their own franchises.

The Crucible: These 7-8 academies will compete fiercely against one another, creating a hyper-competitive, localized league that pushes athletes to their absolute limits and prepares them for the rigors of professional baseball in the U.S. and Asia.

The Economic Engine: The Eco-Lodge Model

The Master Plan is to build and sell seven additional baseball and softball academies on Bohol Island to create a youth sports ecosystem that is capable of developing elite teenage baseball and softball prospects.

The most significant hurdle in international youth sports development is financial sustainability. How do you consistently fund the high-end nutrition, equipment, and coaching required to develop elite teenage prospects?

The Bohol Blueprint solves this through an innovative, dual-purpose real estate model: The Baseball Eco-Lodge.

Sustainable Revenue: Each of the 7-8 youth baseball training centers will be paired with a premium Eco-Lodge.

Tourism Funding Development: Bohol is a world-renowned tourist destination. The revenue generated by these Eco-Lodges will serve as the economic engine for the baseball academies.

Zero-Cost Training: By leveraging the hospitality sector, academy owners can fully subsidize the cost of elite development, ensuring that the best athletes are trained regardless of their personal financial backgrounds.

Join the Founders Club

The Bohol Blueprint is a masterclass in sports entrepreneurship, combining real estate, eco-tourism, and elite athletic development. We are actively seeking visionary American and Asian investors to join the Founders Club, and help build the future of elite teenage baseball prospects in Bohol.

The talent is already on the island. The infrastructure is being built right now. It is time to awaken the sleeping giant of Asian baseball.
