📜 CONTEST OVERVIEW
The Island Time Capsule Story Contest (the “Contest”) is organized by the Bohol Coconuts Baseball & Softball Club (the “Sponsor”). By entering, you agree to these Official Rules.
🗓️ CONTEST PERIOD
STARTS: December 1, 2025, at 12:00 AM Philippine Standard Time (PST)
ENDS: March 30, 2026, at 11:59 PM PST (the “Entry Period”)
WINNER ANNOUNCED: On April 3, 2026
🎯 HOW TO ENTER
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A purchase does not increase your chances of winning.
To Enter via Purchase (Primary Method):
SHOP: During the Entry Period, purchase any officially licensed merchandise from the Bohol Coconuts Online Store.
STORYTELL: Visit the official contest page and submit:
• Your valid receipt/order number from the purchase.
• An original short story (maximum 250 words) answering the prompt: “What does ‘Island Time’ mean to you?”
• A photograph of yourself with the purchased Bohol Coconuts merchandise.
SUBMIT: Complete the online entry form with all required fields.
Free Alternate Method of Entry:
To enter without a purchase, during the Entry Period, send a postcard with your full name, age, mailing address, email address, and your original 250-word story to: Bohol Coconuts Contest, ATTN: Lerma Moore, Cambanac Barangay Hall, 6301 Baclayon Post Office, Bohol, Philippines. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by March 30, 2026, and received by April 5, 2026.
Limit: One (1) free alternate method entry. Multiple entries are allowed with unique order numbers. Enter once for each product purchased.
🏆 THE GRAND PRIZE
One (1) Winner will receive: The “30-Day Coconuts Immersion” Experience in Bohol, Philippines.
Prize Package Includes:
Accommodation: Thirty (30) consecutive nights’ stay at the Coconuts Bed & Breakfast.
Meals: Three daily meals at the Coconuts Bed & Breakfast.
Cultural & Adventure Activities:
• Visit the Bohol Tarsier Conversation Area.
• Visit the world-famous Chocolate Hills.
• Assorted community and cultural immersion activities with the Bohol Coconuts Club.
VIP Club Access:
• Participation in club activities (e.g., assisting with community soup kitchen, youth coaching clinics).
• Mentorship sessions with founders Merv and Lerma.
• Custom Legacy Jersey: One (1) personalized Bohol Coconuts “Legacy” uniform.
• Travel Documentation Support: Assistance with securing the necessary tourist visa (if required). Winner is solely responsible for passport validity.
• Travel Insurance: Basic personal travel insurance for the duration of the trip.
⚖️ ELIGIBILITY
The Contest is open to legal residents of any country who are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction) at the time of entry. Employees, officers, and directors of Bohol Coconuts Baseball & Softball Club, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and their immediate family members are not eligible.
Void where prohibited or restricted by law. Winner is responsible for ensuring their eligibility to travel to the Philippines and for obtaining any required visas. Sponsor will not be liable if a winner is denied entry.
✍️ ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Your submission (the “Entry”) must:
• Be original and created solely by you.
• Be in English.
• Be 250 words or less.
• Directly respond to the theme: “What does ‘Island Time’ mean to you?”
• Not have been previously published or submitted to any other contest.
Not contain material that is:
• Hateful, sexually explicit, or obscene.
• Defamatory or slanderous.
• In violation of third-party rights (privacy, publicity, IP).
• Promoting illegal activities.
Photo Requirement: For purchase entries, the photo must clearly show you and the Bohol Coconuts merchandise item. It must be a genuine, unaltered photo (minor edits for lighting/color are acceptable).
👑 WINNER SELECTION & NOTIFICATION
Judging: All eligible entries will be judged by a panel appointed by the Sponsor based on the following criteria:
• Originality & Creativity (40%)
• Connection to Theme & Emotional Resonance (40%)
• Quality of Writing (20%)
Decision: Decisions of the judges are final and binding in all matters relating to this Contest.
Notification: The potential winner will be contacted via the email address provided on their entry form on or around April 3, 2026.
Verification: The potential winner must respond within 72 hours and will be required to complete and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Release, and (where legal) Publicity Release. Failure to do so will result in disqualification, and an alternate winner may be selected.
📢 GENERAL CONDITIONS
Prize is Non-Transferable and No Substitution, except by Sponsor due to unavailability, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded.
Taxes: Winner is solely responsible for all applicable federal, state, provincial, and local taxes associated with prize receipt and use.
Publicity Grant: By entering, you grant Sponsor a royalty-free, worldwide license to use your name, likeness, story, and submitted photo for promotional purposes related to this Contest without further compensation.
Release: By participating, you release and hold harmless the Sponsor, its affiliates, and their respective agents from any liability arising from participation or acceptance/use/misuse of the prize.
Data Privacy: Personal information collected is subject to the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy and will be used solely for administering this Contest.
⚠️ IMPORTANT DISCLAIMERS
• Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, incomplete, or unintelligible entries.
• Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest if any problem corrupts its administration, security, or fairness.
• The prize trip must be taken within one (1) year of winner notification, subject to availability. All trip details are at Sponsor’s sole discretion.
• Winner assumes all risk associated with prize use and participation in activities. Sponsor is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage incurred during the prize trip.
• This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or any other social media platform.
