The Bohol Youth Sports League (BYSL) will be more than a local sports organization—it is a strategic pipeline designed to elevate Bohol Island onto the global baseball and softball stage.
Launching in December 2026 with 10-30 founding clubs across this world-class tourist destination, our mission is singular and ambitious: to become a premier developmental league that consistently produces minor league-caliber prospects for Major League Baseball (MLB) and Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB).
Our Core Objective: A Direct Pathway to Pro Ball
The BYSL is engineered to identify, train, and showcase elite talent. Our structured competition, professional coaching standards, and year-round development model are all built with one end goal: to prepare our top athletes for professional contracts.
We provide the platform for scouts from the U.S., Japan, South Korea, and beyond to discover the next generation of baseball talent right here in Bohol.
The Collegiate Pathway
Beyond professional play, the league is committed to securing life-changing opportunities for our student-athletes. We will actively develop players to earn collegiate scholarships at universities in the Philippines, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan, using baseball and softball as a vehicle for world-class education.

This is a shared mission. Our vision, set forth by Director Merv Moore, is clear: within the first decade, 10-15 of our member academies will have developed and signed at least one prospect to a professional minor league contract in the United States, Japan, or South Korea.
