The fiesta celebration of the Immaculate Conception continued in Baclayon with the annual carnival and games. The event started during the week of the Baclayon Foundation Day and will end on December 31.

Local residents came out in droves this past weekend to play a variety of games for cash prizes. Besides food vendors, there are also nightly performances on stage like singing, dancing, and theatrical performances.

The carnival (perya) is a staple of Filipino celebrations, symbolizing tradition, community, and joy. It is not just a source of entertainment but a cultural experience with a mix of fun, nostalgia, and even a bit of chaos.

A typical perya includes various attractions such as:

Rides including a carousel or other smaller rides.
Games of skill like bingo, color games, etc.)
Food stalls selling street food.
