BOHOL, Philippines – Get ready for an unprecedented look inside the birth of a sports movement. The Bohol Coconuts Baseball & Softball Club today announced a revolutionary media strategy that will embed cameras into the very heart of its operations, transforming the club’s journey into a compelling, daily documentary series.

Drawing inspiration from the paradigm-shifting media approach of “Prime Time” Deion Sanders, the Coconuts are launching a comprehensive content engine designed to build a global brand while authentically showcasing the spirit of Bohol.

At the core of this strategy is the flagship YouTube series, “Building the Coconuts.” Premiering in early 2026, this series will release 30-minute episodes every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, offering viewers an all-access pass to the club’s formation.

Cameras will follow founders, Head Baseball Coach Marvin “Merv” Moore and General Manager Lerma Moore, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, capturing the relentless effort, strategic decisions, and human stories behind building a premier sports institution from the ground up.

But the vision extends far beyond a single series. The club is empowering its own youth through the creation of Tropical Paradise Media, a volunteer-run media outlet operated entirely by the club’s teenage members.

This dedicated team will be responsible for generating a torrent of daily content across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Reels, and Facebook. Their lenses will capture everything: strategic office meetings, intense practice sessions, competitive tournament games, academic contests, educational field trips, and vibrant social activities. The goal is to operate as a continuous reality show, documenting the club’s pulse in real-time.

“This isn’t just about filming drills and games,” explained Coach Merv Moore, whose background includes serving as Editor-in-Chief of his college newspaper and founding a community newspaper.

“It’s about sharing the story—the morning fog in the Cambanac mountains, the determination in a young player’s eyes after a strikeout, the community meals at our soup kitchen, and the laughter during a field trip. This daily, intimate content is something you simply cannot fabricate. It’s real, it’s raw, and it’s powerfully engaging.”

General Manager Lerma Moore emphasized the dual purpose of the strategy.

“Our media presence serves our community first. By giving our teenage volunteers the tools and platform to tell their own stories, we are teaching invaluable 21st-century skills—videography, editing, storytelling, and digital marketing. They are not just subjects; they are the directors and producers of our narrative.

“On top of that, this constant, authentic content allows us to share the true essence of our club and our island with the world. People will see the impact, the joy, and the transformative power of what we are building here, far beyond the baseball diamond.”

The social media structure is designed for both impact and integrity. Coach Merv will provide editorial oversight and mentorship to the 12-person volunteer staff, leveraging his publishing experience.

In a groundbreaking commitment to its youth, the Bohol Coconuts Club has declared that the teenage volunteers of Tropical Paradise Media will retain 100% of all social media revenue generated in 2026, directly investing in the futures of the very creators driving the content.

The benefits of this immersive strategy are multifaceted. By filming approximately 50 hours of club activity daily, the Coconuts will build a vast, authentic content library that highlights:

The Club’s Unique Value: Showcasing the integrated model of sports, academics, nutrition, and community service.

Player & Member Journeys: Creating emotional connections by following individual growth stories over time.

The Bohol Brand: Promoting the island’s culture, landscape, and community spirit to a global audience.

Unprecedented Access: Building a loyal following by offering transparency and a genuine behind-the-scenes experience.

This strategy positions the Bohol Coconuts not merely as a sports club, but as a leading content creator and a digital window into sustainable community development. The world will be invited to subscribe, follow, and witness every step of the journey—from the first pitch to the building of a legacy.

“We’re opening our doors wide,” said Coach Merv. “You’ll see the victories, the challenges, the hard work, and the heart. Through ‘Building the Coconuts’ and the endless stream of stories from our own youth, we’re not just creating a team; we’re broadcasting the creation of hope, opportunity, and greatness. Welcome to our story.”
