Global Fans Submit Over 700 Names for Coconuts Mascot

The world is weighing in on what to call Bohol’s newest baseball star. Just weeks after launching our “Name Our Coconut Mascot” contest, the Bohol Coconuts Baseball & Softball Club is thrilled to announce that we have received an incredible 716 entries from fans around the globe!

The response has been nothing short of amazing. From playful puns to powerful tributes, the creativity of the Coconuts community is on full display. With the contest running until April 2, 2026, there is still time to make your voice heard, but the early submissions have already given us a fantastic shortlist of potential names for our spirited, cap-wearing mascot.

Some of the fan-favorite names already in the running include:

Tropical Heat
Coco-Bat
Homer Nut
Nutty the Slugger
Mighty Coco
The Sultan of Shell
Loco Coco
Coco-Slider
Coco Bunt
Base Coco
Ace Nut
Coco the Kid

The Bohol Bamba

…and many more like Coco Swat, Foul Pole Coco, Coco Loco, Coco Swing, Home Run Coconut, Buster Coco, and B-Town Coco.

As a reminder, each name submission requires a $1 donation, with all proceeds directly benefiting the Coconuts Academic Department. This vital program provides structured educational support to our youth members here in Bohol, where opportunities for academic enrichment can be scarce.

“We are blown away by the global engagement,” said Coconuts general manager Lerma Moore. “Not only are we seeing incredibly clever names, but every single entry is also a donation that helps us support our kids’ education. It’s a true home run for the club and the community.”

The winner of the contest will receive a $100 cash prize, a personalized Digital Certificate of Recognition, an official Bohol Coconuts cap and t-shirt, and will be featured in a virtual chat on our YouTube series, “Building the Coconuts.”

The contest remains open until April 2, 2026. To submit your entry and help name our coconut for good, visit the original contest page here: https://www.bohol-coconuts.com/2026/02/03/name-our-coconut-mascot-contest/

Let’s make history together—one name, one child, one home run at a time.
