The Coconuts are a new baseball and softball program on the tropical island of Bohol, Philippines. We are looking for a dedicated Volunteer Girls Fastpitch Softball Coach to help train young Filipino girls to become elite softball pitchers.
Filipino female athletes are historically considered among the best in Asia, with Philippine national teams consistently enjoying success on the international stage. The talent, the drive, and the passion are already here. We just need the right leader on the mound.
The Mission on the Diamond
We are seeking a former female softball pitcher (ages 22+) to commit to a 6 to 12-month assignment starting this June.
Your primary mission will be to teach elite pitching fundamentals to our young athletes, while also developing our catchers, hitters, and fielders. Furthermore, you won’t just be building players; you will be building a legacy by directly training our local Filipino female coach trainees to carry the torch.
As Club Director Coach Merv puts it:
“If we can develop an abundance of elite pitchers, we can develop elite hitters and have an elite program.”
While a minimum six-month commitment is required, Coach Merv highly prefers a candidate willing to spend an entire year with the club to ensure these complex fundamentals are deeply ingrained in the players.

You will be living alongside the local wildlife. The island is home to pythons, spitting cobras, and the majestic King Cobra. This assignment is for the bold, the adaptable, and the adventurous. If that excites you rather than scares you, you are exactly the kind of coach we want leading our girls.
