The mission of the Coconuts Baseball Academy is to create a true development culture in Bohol where athletes are taught the fundamentals the right way, expected to compete with pride, and challenged to grow in character as well as skill.

Baseball Program
The baseball program is designed to help players master the fundamentals while developing into complete competitors. Training will emphasize throwing, fielding, hitting, base running, awareness, and the daily habits that turn interest into steady progress.
The goal is to help create a baseball culture in Bohol that is disciplined, visible, and ambitious. Players will be challenged to improve steadily, compete with energy, and take pride in representing something that is growing.
Softball Program
The softball program is being built to give girls in Bohol a serious place to learn, compete, and grow in a culture that values confidence, toughness, and long-term development. The goal is not just to field a team. The goal is to establish a respected softball identity on the island.
Athletes will train in throwing, fielding, hitting, footwork, catcher development, and game awareness while learning to compete with composure and pride.

The All-Star Program is designed for players who show the skill, work ethic, baseball IQ, and coachability to compete at a higher level. It is for athletes who want more than participation. It is for athletes ready to be pushed.
The purpose of the All-Star level is to identify top talent, sharpen it with stronger standards, and create a more serious pathway for players capable of representing the Coconuts in bigger moments.

Coach Merv Moore brings international experience, vision, and a builder’s mindset to the Coconuts Baseball and Softball Program. His goal is not simply to run practices. It is to establish a real baseball and softball culture in Bohol built on standards, identity, discipline, and long-term ambition.
Under Coach Merv’s direction, the academy is being shaped into a serious training environment where players are expected to listen, compete, improve, and take pride in doing the little things right.
