If you’ve ever watched ‘Survivor’ and fantasized how it would be like to live on a tropical island, pack your bags and make your daydreams a reality! The Bohol Coconuts Baseball and Softball Club offers a unique volunteer abroad experience complete with white sands beaches and an array of natural wonders.

Volunteer coaches will supervise our girl’s fastpitch softball program and assist with club events. Guests will become part of the local village and will live the laidback island lifestyle. Barangay Cambanac is also home to the world’s longest venomous snake — the King Cobra. However, these majestic snakes are shy and do not like being around people.

With the exception of affluent  Filipino communities, most youth in the Philippines do not have access to organized team sports except for short-term tournaments and leagues. As a volunteer coach, you’ll train various age groups and use the power of positivity to motivate kids to have fun while striving to be the best possible version of themselves.

The Coconuts will organize tournaments and leagues for various age groups, and select the top players for our All-Star program. Our mission is to develop elite collegiate and national team prospects. Our youth development programs consists of 250 days annually of trainings and games.

Our fully-hosted volunteer abroad program includes airport transfers, room and board, flexible schedules, and much more!

Location

The Bohol Coconuts Baseball Club is based in Barangay Cambanac, a small village located on Bohol Island in the Philippines. Cambanac is a place where people live off the land and co-exist with cobras, pythons, and monitor lizards. Cockfighting is a popular Sunday event and the ocean is less than 10 minutes away.

Known for its unique landscape and diverse wildlife — like the iconic Chocolate Hills and the world’s smallest primates — Bohol is also a preferred destination for diving and snorkeling due to its vibrant marine life and diverse ecosystems. Dolphin and whale watching is another must-see attraction that is popular with both domestic and foreign tourists.
