1stMission: Filipino MLB superstar

Not a job. An ownership stake.

This is a genuine equity partnership — you will own 40% of a real, growing sports and hospitality brand in the Philippines.

Japan is the key market.

We need a partner with ties to Japan’s baseball culture to build sponsorships, media attention, and commercial partnerships.

Two ways to make it work.

Live in Japan and visit Bohol, or relocate to Bohol and visit Japan. We will build around the right person’s situation.

The Vision

A Sports-Driven Future Built in the Tropics

The Bohol Coconuts Baseball & Softball Club is building something that has never existed in the Philippines — a world-class youth baseball academy on a tropical island, with an eco-lodge, a YouTube docuseries, and a mission that goes far beyond sports.

Our stated goal is to develop the first native-born Filipino Major League Baseball superstar. That mission drives every decision: the training programs, the facility design, the coaching philosophy, and the partnerships we seek.

The Coconuts Performance Center is the anchor — a professional-grade training facility built specifically to develop elite teenage baseball prospects. Around it, the Eco-Lodge Suites create a destination-lifestyle dimension that turns the club into a brand people travel to experience.

Our Mission

“The Bohol Coconuts is an elite youth sports academy dedicated to cultivating the first native-born Filipino Major League Baseball superstar.”

What You Own

Your 40% Equity Stake

This is not a salary, a sponsorship, or a volunteer role. You will hold a 40% ownership stake in every asset listed below — with the founding team retaining 60%.

Baseball & Softball Club

Full ownership stake in the Bohol Coconuts club — its brand, reputation, roster, and competitive future across Bohol Island.

Coconuts Performance Center

The flagship training facility being built to develop elite teenage prospects — the physical and operational heart of the Coconuts brand.

Elite Baseball Academy

The youth development program at the core of the club — where players are identified, developed, and prepared for the highest levels of the game.

Eco-Lodge Suites

A luxury eco-lodge adjacent to the Performance Center — combining tropical island hospitality with direct proximity to the baseball movement.

“Building the Coconuts” YouTube Series

A reality docuseries chronicling the real-time creation of the club — a media asset with growing audience potential and brand storytelling power.

Future Academies

A second Bohol academy is planned for 2028. Your 40% stake grows with every location the Coconuts brand expands to across the island.

Two Paths to Partnership

Which Profile Fits You?

We are flexible on location. The right partner can structure the arrangement around their life — not the other way around.

Ideal Background

What We Are Looking For

We are not looking for the most experienced person in the room. We are looking for the right one.

Baseball Passion

A genuine love of the game — not just as a sport but as a culture. Knowledge of the Japanese baseball market is a significant advantage.

Business Experience

Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record in business, sports management, hospitality, media, or commercial partnership development.

Japan Connection

Existing ties to Japan — whether through residence, business, culture, or language. The Japanese market is central to this partnership’s success.

Leadership Ability

The confidence and communication skills to represent a growing brand publicly — on camera, in meetings, and across cultures.

Long-Term Vision

This is not a short-term engagement. We are looking for someone who wants to build something lasting over the next 10+ years in Bohol.

Island Adaptability

Comfort with the Philippines lifestyle — or genuine excitement about it. Bohol is beautiful, but it rewards people who embrace its pace and character.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a paid position?

This is an equity partnership, not a salaried role. Your compensation is your 40% ownership stake in the club and all associated assets. Revenue-sharing arrangements are part of the partnership discussion.

Is an upfront financial investment required?

This is discussed during the partnership conversation and depends on your specific situation and the structure we agree on. We are open to different arrangements with the right candidate.

How are decisions made between partners?

The founding team retains 60% and final decision authority, but the Club President is a genuine leadership role with real operational and strategic input. This is a collaborative partnership, not a figurehead position.

Do I need to speak Filipino or Tagalog?

Not required. English is widely spoken in the Philippines and is the primary language of business in Bohol’s expat and sports communities. Japanese language skills are more directly relevant to this role.

What is the timeline for the 2028 expansion?

The second Bohol academy is in the planning phase, with an opening target of 2028. The Business Partner will play a central role in shaping and executing that expansion.

What does “Building the Coconuts” involve?

It is a YouTube reality docuseries chronicling the creation of the club in real time — the facilities, the players, the setbacks, and the wins. The Club President will be a visible presence in the series.

Can I visit Bohol before committing?

Absolutely — and we encourage it. Seeing the island, meeting the team, and experiencing the environment firsthand is an important part of the process for both sides.

How many applicants are you considering?

We are conducting a focused search for one Business Partner. We will respond to all serious inquiries and move through a straightforward conversation process with qualified candidates.
